Expert: HEIDI - 5/16/2009

Question
My mother collected beanies as a hobby since 1995.  She always wanted them and any proceeds from selling them to go to her only grandaughter(my daughter). My mother died of cancer and ofcourse I now have all of them (over 1000)I know there are some good ones in there and would like to sell them to invest in my daugther's college fund and then give the rest to charity. How do I go about not getting rid of a valuable ones?  There are soo many guides etc. I dont know which to look at and dont even know where to begin sorting them? It is like my mother left me with a dying wish that I am afraid i am going to screw up by giving them away??? There are couple I suspect are good ones including a derby horse w/yarn mane and diamond on his head (1995), old face teddies of varying colors, a lucky ladybug with odd spots(1995), a rainbow iguana w/tounge(1997), 3rd gen. bumble(1995) because my mother marked them the other's I have NO idea

FIRST OF ALL I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR MOM, YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY CALLING AN ANTIQUE STORE THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU ALL THE PRICES FOR YOUR BEANIE BABIES AND THEY MAY BE WILLING TO BUY SOME OR ALL OF THEM FROM YOU, ALSO THE ONES YOU CAN NOT SELL I HAVE A LADY WHO IS LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO DONATE TY BEANIE BABIES SEE CAN TAKE TO KIDS WHO HAVE GONE THROUGH NATURAL DISASTERS-IF YOU WOULD BE INTERESTED IN DONATING TO HER PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO GIVE YOU HER INFO.
