Hi Molly
        I've always wanted to know how many copies of each album the Beastie Boys have sold worldwide? Which do u like best? Is it better to buy a compilation or one of their albums? Thanks very much for your help.

Hey - sorry it took me so long to get back with you.  All I could easily find out for you is that all of their albums have gone multi-platinum EXCEPT The In Sound from Way Out which was a collection of their instrumental songs.  It sold well, just didn't go multi-platinum (mulit-platinum means millions sold).  License to Ill has sold over 9 million.  It has sold the most.  I could get more specific figures for you if you need them.
My favorite changes every once in a while, for a long time my fave was Paul's Boutique, but now I think it's Check Your Head.  
If I had to recommend one album to someone who was unfamilar with them, I would have to recommend their latest release, their compliation, The Sounds of Science.  It has a little bit of everything and you'll be able to figure out what kind of their music is your favorite (if you can choose) and get that album.
