Question
Which eight songs were #1 hits in America, but not in Britain?

Which six songs were #1 hits in Britain, but not in America?

Answer
I've done this for you, Ava, but I think you could have found this yourself:-

All Beatles Number 1 Hits in America: http://www.massmarketplace.com/beatles/beat1.htm

Every UK No.1 Single, 1952 to present date: http://bittersuiteband.com/music_uk-no1-hits-singles.htm

Now you can work it all out by comparing the two, no doubt giving you much more information than if I was to do the whole thing for you.

Enjoy yourself - I'm sure you will! :o)

Chalk.

Experience

There was something in Paul's voice when he sang the phrase "Love Me Do" at the end of the verses that told me everything in Pop was going to change, and it did! I left my first band (which I had founded), partly because the other members thought I was a bit weird to want to change our style to reflect that of the Beatles! As a rock musician, I appeared with them in the ABC Theatre in Blackpool, England in 1963, and my songwriting has always been influenced by theirs.
