Question
My father said to me the value of this record was many years ago 20,000.00 and probably worth more now. It has the shadow of George Harrison on the cover and is the original issue(first edition.  It still has the original paper sleeve that goes over the whole record.

Answer
If it is indeed the genuine article and not a counterfeit- it is possible that it could be worth that much to the right buyer (how many are out there?).  Again, with that album, there are SO many counterfeits that it is tough to say.  The holy grail of Beatle records recently sold on eBay for ~$30k.  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270193817834&mfe=sidebar
I hope you do have the real article - is it worth $20k to you to part with it?  How about $7k?  It really does depend on the buyer market and your willingness to sell for $x.  eBay would be a great starting point, but I would say go get an authenticity ticket from some professional validation place before selling it to be sure.  Good luck!
