Beatles, The/B&W Photo

Question
I acquired a 8x10 B&W Glossy Photo from my Mom who acquired the photo from her friend back in the 60's. No negative. All we know about the photo is that the girls uncle took the picture from a doorway.  It looks like an interview of some kind.  All 4 are in it and an unidentified man, his back is to us and he is holding a microphone. George, Paul and John are looking at the man and Ringo is taking a drag of a cig.  They have suits on, George with no jacket. Sitting on a couch with what appears glass doors behind them.  Would assume picture was taken in the US. Can't seem to pinpoint when - looks like 64' or 65'.  Was wondering if it would have any value and if people would be interested in it.  I read a previous question about a photo value and the suggestion was to make a negative and make prints not a bad idea. It drives me crazy that I have no idea where this was taken or when.  I live on the east coast if that helps. If not for anything else - I enjoy this picutre being I'm the only one that has it.
Thanks,
Ellen

Answer
Hi Ellen!

Wow, there are so many uncirculated pictures of the boys these days LOL. Sounds like you have a very rare picture. Well, as I told the other person, without personally seeing the picture, it's very hard to give an actual true value on it, although from what you're telling me, it's a rare, unseen picture, which brings it's value up tremendously, and because it's the Beatles, yes, there would be a market for it. Chances are, if it's a one of a kind photo (which it sounds like it is), the value would be several hundred dollars minimally. Personally, I'd have it appraised, then immediately insure it and hang on to it as an heirloom.

To have it properly appraised, my suggestion is to take it to a person who specializes in rock and roll memorabilia, or more specifically, an expert on rare Beatles items. Your best bet is to contact Pete Nash at http://www.britishbeatlesfanclub.co.uk/about.html Pete works as the editor and also the memorabilia expert for the British Beatles Fan Club. He's also a Beatles dealer on eBay with a great reputation. I wish I could give you more information, but for that, I'd have to see the physical picture. Good luck and please let me know what you find out. Thanks for the question!

Peace,
Pattie
