Beatles, The/Beatles Picture

Question
My best friend and I saw the beatles in concert on their first trip to the US, at the Cow Palace in San Francisco.  We were 15.  My best friend passed away from lung cancer recently.  As a rememberance I received from her before her death the following:  A framed picture of the beatles as they appeared on the "Meet the Beatles Album."  On the back of the frame, my friend wrote "Reprint of Autographed Beatles picture 1964.  In 1964, I bought my first Beatles album.  On the folder there was an offer for reprints of this picture with the autographs, they were 25 cents each.  I ordered about six.  My grandmother kept them and when she passed away, we found them (20 years later).  I gave the rest to family members, my sister, brother, uncle, daughter and nephew."  Do you know if this picture could be worth anything?

Answer
Hi Brenda!

Well, the good news is that any item related to the Beatles does have a value and it always goes up, never down!

The picture that you have is rare yes, but not exceedingly rare. Thousands of them were sent out back then. Most were destroyed by people who got them as kids and "grew out" of that sort of thing. The current value of that picture is roughly $100 in good condition.

It's so nice to know that you have that memory with your friend of seeing the Beatles together. I saw them myself with my brother at Shea Stadium in 1965. It was a remarkable experience. I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend, but it sounded like she kept that memory close to her heart and passed it back to you, with love. Cherish that picture!

If you need any further help, please let me know and thanks for the question!

Peace,
Pattie

While I have no degree in "Beatleology", I probably could write a course on it!
