Question
At the Toronto 1969 concert (with Eric Clapton) when John is about to sing Give Peace a Chance, right after he says "This is what we came here for really..." he yells something that sounds like "ai you ton"?? What does he really yell and why does he do it?  You can see it on Youtube.

Answer
Hi Micheal,
this is a good question. I seem to heard "I Know Ton" or "I knoe Toh", but most probably John wanted to mean nothing, as he usually did with the Beatles when the rumours of the crowd was so big that he couldn't hear anything. Try and see the concert at the Shea stadium, you will hear that he yells something in the same way he did in Toronto.

Best,
Sara
