Question
When the Beatles arrived in Hamburg the best and most popular band in town was the Tielman Brothers from Holland. The Indo-rockscene (Dutch-Indonesian immigrants) in Holland says that The Beatles came to the fabulous live shows of The Tielmans and learned there by looking and listening how to perform. Have you ever heard this story about the supposed musical influence of the Indo-rockers on the Beatles?

Answer
I'd heard about them years ago, but had never really seen them perform. I'd forgotten if the Beatles were influenced by the brothers, but after seeing "Rock It Up" on YouTube, I could completely see John thinking in his mind that he could do all those antics as well. Their music is absolutely fantastic for that time. I would even go out and say that this was the first real "group" who started a stage show. Thank you for the great mention, Robert -- Hopefully everyone who sees this could look it up for themselves.
