Question
Is there an apostrophe in Lonely Heart's Club Band or not?
I see that 99.9% of people always write it without the ' in Heart's, but I always do. Am I wrong? . Perhaps if the LP didn't have the apostrophe on the cover and label, naybe it should have? What is the correct way of writing it?
Thanks, Phil.

Answer
I suppose the grammatically correct way of phrasing it would be "Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band,"  without the apostrophe in the word "hearts."  There's no apostrophe (at all, not even for Sgt. Pepper's) on the LP cover, but "Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" is also the way it's typed on the official Beatles website, so there you go.

Thanks for taking your time to ask me a question.

Expertise

I am a HUGE fan who happened to soak up lots and lots of trivia on her way through Beatle land (I`ve been told I have Beatle radar), so I`m able to answer a question about almost anything!

Experience

I'm a professional music teacher, mainly in vocal music. My particular specialty would be questions on the music theory of the Beatles songs, or ending "who sang what" debates.
