Question
QUESTION: Hello!

Thank you for the great site!

I recently found out that my "With the Beatles" (PCS 3045) is not the UK version. Could you help me identify the record and perhaps give some thoughts of the value of the record?

The record is stereo, looks almost like the UK version. On the upper right corner on the front sleeve, just below the "stereo" mark, there is pressed a "Pari member approved" logo (Philippine association of record industry inc).

The back of the sleeve looks just like this: http://www.jpgr.co.uk/pcs3045_b.jpg.

The record has the spelling error "You really GOTTA hold on me" on both the sleeve and the record.

On the record, there is the same PARI-logo on both sides. The matrix numbers are YEX.110 and YEX.111. There is the text "Recording first published 1963". The song "money" is credited to Jobete mus.

The record is about ex condition. Sleeve is something like VG. The inner sleeve doesn't look original.

Thank you very much if you have time to answer my question and please let me know if you need any other information of the record!

With kind regards,

Pyry

ANSWER: Hi Pyry

Without seeing the record I would say it was made in the UK for export to the Philipines - does it actually say where the record was made on the label?

If so , if in good condition I would value it at 80 dollars (£40) based on what I have seen UK made export records sell for.

QUESTION: Hello,

Thank you for your quick answer!
Actually it says on the label "manufactured under license by dyna products inc. in the philippines". In the back of the sleeve it says; under the "E.M.I. records limited Hayes Middlesex England" text(in the same position as in the UK version); "made and printed in the Philippines"

I've heard that they have made some issues of Beatles records on 70's in the Philippines. Could it be this in spite of the text "Recording first published 1963"?

Thanks again for your time!

Answer
Hi again, Pyry

thanks for the extra infoirmation. Yes several Beatles albums were made in the Philippines.

Other than the fact that this is made in the Philippines , the album is identical to the UK version.

I would value this at 80 US dollars (40 UK pounds)
