Question
Why won't they release the Let it be movie on DVD?

Answer
Hi Sean

Ah, Let It Be - I went to see it on the cinema in Liverpool back in 1970 and UK TV has shown it 3 or 4 times since then. In the US and Japan it came out on video but Apple sued and it was withdrawn from sale.

Like every Beatles project, since they broke up, it has to have the approval of Paul, Ringo and the estates of John and George - that means Yoko and Olivia.

There have been lots of rumours of a 'forthcoming release', but none of them are true, I'm afraid.

Paul is the most against it (as was George before he died). It was a bitter time for them and they are not fond of the world seeing all the arguing that went on. So while that is still the case, we can't expect to see it released at all unless there is a complete change of heart.

There are of course 'unofficial' DVDs of the movie available on line, but of course there is a risk that these are of poor quality and of course it's not for me to advertise these!
