Beatles, The/John's homes

Question
QUESTION: Please offer a timetable starting when John invited Yoko over in May until the end of 1968 where john lived.

ANSWER: Hi Joe!

Well, John's primary residence at the time he brought Yoko "home" was in Kenwood, on Wood Lane, St. George's Hill Estate, located in what was known as the "stockbroker belt" in Weybridge, Surrey, outside of London. That had been his residence since July of 1964. He did spend some time at Yoko's flat (25 Hanover Gate Mansions, Park Rd, Lisson Grove, Marylebone) quite often before Kenwood was sold in Dec 1968. John and Yoko also spent quite a bit of time at Paul's home in St. John's Wood (7 Cavendish Avenue, London). The first place they ever truly lived as a couple was at Ringo Starr's flat at 34 Montagu Square, Marylebone, London. They were there from July-November of 1968. Montagu Square was actually the place where they shot the nude cover for the "Two Virgins" LP as well as their residence when they were arrested for possession in October of 1968. From November of '68 until May of 1969, they stayed with Ringo and his family at "Sunny Heights", South Rd, St George's Hill Estate, Weybridge, Surrey. Their next residence would be when they moved to Tittenhurst Estate, formally known as "the Inn On The Park" outside of London. I hope that this is the information you were looking for. Thanks so much for the question!

Great Answer. I too am a bit of a Beatles Fan, more so their history and then their music.

Next question. Offer some timeline again when Francie Schwartz was Paul's bird, when she showed up and left and when her time overlapped with John's stay @ Cavendish.

1968 I find their most interesting year.

Hi again Joe 8^)

Ah, the infamous Francie Schwartz! Well, she came into Paul's life because she had a script for a film she had written about Richard Goldstein, a violinist and actor, that she wanted Paul to compose the music for. She claims that she sent Paul two telegrams, one to tell him about the screenplay and the second stating that she was coming to London to meet him. She showed up at Apple very early in April of 1968 (around April 9th), walked in and there was Paul, in the middle of talking to a few executives. They hit it off immediately, and very soon after their initial meeting, began their affair. Paul moved her into his Cavendish Avenue home shortly after his fiance, Jane Asher left town for a job. Paul gave Francie a job working with Derek Taylor at Apple and it didn't take long for everyone to realize they were "together". Francie got along quite well with all of the Beatles, especially John, who was now with Yoko full time. John and Yoko came to stay with Paul and Francie at Cavendish for roughly 3 weeks in June of 1968, because all of John's money was tied up at Apple and he was also trying to get Apple to pay off some extreme debts that Yoko had incurred. Believe it or not, at that time in 1968, John Lennon didn't have enough liquid income to afford his own home. Francie and Yoko got along famously. Francie and Paul broke up in July of 1968 (don't recall the exact date). Beatle legend states that Jane Asher came home and found Francie in Pauls bed which is why she broke off their engagement. Francie claims that Paul and Jane had actually broken up weeks prior, but Jane did come to Cavendish and "knock on their bedroom door" before coming in and seeing them together. I tend to lean toward the opinion of Alistair Taylor, Brian Epstein's assistant and Paul's good friend. He states that Jane did indeed walk in on Paul and Francie, knowing nothing about the affair. Paul showed up for weeks at Al's house in the middle of the night, crying his eyes out because his actions had caused him to lose Jane. Francie wrote a "tell all" book about her time with the Beatles called "Body Count". Not a particularly good book, but if you want her side of the story, that's where to find it!

1968 was truly a pivotal year!! Thanks again for the question...

Peace,
