AboutSteve Expertise I can answer mostly anything concerning The Beatles. I`ve read many of the stories, and can give you a tidbit or two on virtually every song they produced.
Experience Many years of reading books on them, much bootlg material I have purchased and/or received from them, and a pure enjoyment of learning about them.
Question Hi Steve
I noticed on another site about AHDN pressings and how they were contracted out to different companies by United Artist because of demand. The site gave value on the many different pressings and value but when it came to the RCA pressing of it it just gave a dolar sign and question marks ($???). I was wondering if you could shed some light on what value a copy of this pressing would rate in? I'm not concerned about it being of some great value. I own a copy. I'm just curious what it would rate.
Thanks so much
Jerry
Answer
Heya Jerry,
Let me first start this off by mentioning that I'm sorry, I do not know, however I'm very interested to find out why. I can only guess that RCA wasn't sure what they would cost because the Beatles' star was still on the rise. They would probably charge slightly more than other companies. If I were you, I'd just mention it to an employee of a record store: They may give you better detail as to why RCA didn't price them (or maybe they did, but you may had purchased it prior to the actual posting).
I hope only the best in the answers you receive.
