Beatles, The/request to send you a document
Expert: Pattie - 9/30/2008
QuestionHi Pattie,
I also am an expert on The Beatles, although my expertise is concerned with a very specific aspect of The Beatles. I have recently completed about three years or research and would like to provide you with a document that you may find helpful in the future when talking about various releases such as Sgt. Pepper, The White Album, Let It Be, the song Penny Lane and Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite, just to name a few.
For example, I have identified the source and meaning of the phrase 'and of course Henry the horse dances the waltz'. If you do not know the origin of this phrase I assure you that this is going to simply blow you away. A whole new aspect of The Beatles is just now coming to light.
Actually, I have quite an extensive list of songs that I can provide great insight to regarding their point of origin, etc.
I know that you are usually the one providing expert comments on The Beatles, but you also mention that you have many books on the Beatles. Can I send you something as well? I think you will find it incredible. I won't say any more at this point.
Thanks for you time and may God always protect you!
Jacob
AnswerHi Jacob!
I am constantly researching and studying the Beatles and John and would love to hear any new information that you may have on that or any other Beatles song. I'm quite familiar with the history behind "Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite", in fact, I even own the poster it was based on. And yes, the name "Henry the Horse" is not on the poster, it's "Zanthus" the horse. I've never bought into the theory that "Henry the Horse" is a euphemism for heroin. At that time in his life, John hadn't even tried heroin yet.
I am an avid collector of books on the Beatles and John Lennon. I've got hundreds and would certainly welcome any new edition to the library. If you'd like to send me a document, you can contact me at pattie@luvmedeux.com. That's my band's website. Hope to hear from you soon, because you've certainly got me intrigued!
Peace,
Pattie
