Question
Hi Pattie
I have a Beatles HELP LP with a misprinted album cover, the figures on the front cover look like they have been printed to be viewed with 3D glasses!! with the colours clearly slightly offset. I have never seen a copy like it,and would like to know how rare and possibly how valuable it is,given the values of misprinted beatles labels etc..
Kindest regards
Gary

Answer
Hi Gary!

While there is no precedent for that particular album having a misprinted cover of that sort, errors certainly occurred in the printing of album covers. The Beatles were no exception. Album covers, when being printed, can shift slightly, causing a shadow effect like what you describe. However, because it IS a Beatles album, that makes it a collectible rarity. I honestly can't give you a true estimate of it's value without seeing it, but if you take it to a collector's shop in your area, hopefully one that specializes in Beatles records, they could give you a better estimate of it's value. If you want to try and sell it outright, I'd say go the eBay route, and start the auction at minimally $50. You should do fairly well with it. Make sure you add LOTS of high resolution pictures. Sounds like you've got a great item! Thanks for the question.

Peace,
Pattie
