Beatles, The/Canadian let it be box set

Question
Hi. I have a Canadian and a UK Let It Be box set. The Canadian inner "flap" tray is different from the UK "flap" tray as it has goldish brown ends (the part that you see when the box set is fully assembled, with the outer slipcase on). The UK has black ends. Is this correct for the Canadian box set? I was thinking that perhaps it was a "DJ" copy, or something. Thanks!!! curt

Answer
Hi Curt!

No, if it were a DJ copy, that would be clearly noted, either by a gold stamp on the cover, a white label on the album or a notation on the album label. I haven't seen a Canadian copy of that in a very long time, so I'm not recalling the colours of the flap-tray, but I've never heard of any variations of that set, so I have to assume you have the standard issue copy. The only thing notable on the Canadian issues of this set was on the original sticker that was placed on the shrink wrap that had the US spelling of "color" rather than the Canadian or British "colour". Thanks for the question!

Peace,
Pattie
