Question
I have viewed one answer to a simular question.
I have a Let it be album purchased from a record bin in a drug store in the early '70s
What is interesting is that it has a Red apple label and "Phil & Ronnie 2" writen in cursive by the label.
Is this one of a series of numbered copies?
I have been wondering this for some 30 years.

Answer
All it means is that you bought your copy in the US.

The apple is red to distinguish the distributor of the album.  Usually in the US, it was Capitol, but since this was a movie tie-in, it was United Artists.  So they changed the color of the apple to mark the difference.

"Phil and Ronnie" are Phil and Ronnie Spector.  Phil Spector had produced the Let It Be album and had married Ronnie in 1968.  He put that on every album he produced while they were married.

Every US vinyl album has these.  Nothing special about it, sorry.

I am a HUGE fan who happened to soak up lots and lots of trivia on her way through Beatle land (I`ve been told I have Beatle radar), so I`m able to answer a question about almost anything!

I'm a professional music teacher, mainly in vocal music. My particular specialty would be questions on the music theory of the Beatles songs, or ending "who sang what" debates.
