QuestionHi I have the let it be box set PCS7096 made in UK in 1970.It does not have a red apple on the back cover of inner record sleeve . There is a parlophone sigh in a square instead. Also the back cover of the book is blank. Is this a genuine copy as it doesnt match up to descriptions I have read about It
Answer Hiya Sandra,
I am not fully sure if this is a genuine copy, however, it certainly has the makings of a rare item.
I would suggest you to either take just the album cover (If possible, place it in plastic) and drive to some cd stores in your area or call up a few cd or possibly vintage vinyl stores, and ask if you may discuss the discrepancies with someone who could help you.
If your search is elusive, look online with some Beatles websites. (I do know that there is a "Beatlefest" tour that has been in the US for about 30 years now. I've attended these in the past, and there are many people who work at this who could assist you. There are also many Beatles collectors at these, and you may get a nice offer for this "Let It Be" box set.)
Sandra, I wish you the best of luck with your possible treasure.
Take care,
Steve
