Beatles, The/Beatles Records

Question
Hello. I'm hoping to sell a few of my Beatles albums. I own "A Hard Day's Night", "Rubber Soul", "Long Tall Sally", and "Beatles VI". I know approximately how much they are worth, but I'm having a difficult time finding stores or organizations to purchase them. Where do you recommend I look or sell?

Answer
Hi Kelsey!

Well, I'm not sure where you live, but if you're not trying to make a huge profit, try any local used record stores. They'll normally buy Beatle LP's if they're in good shape. Keep in mind, they will NOT give you full value for them. They're in the business to make money, so they'll undercut the actual value. If you don't want to go that route, there's always eBay, but they do charge a nominal fee. If you do decide to sell them via eBay, you may do better selling them individually than all at once as a lot. Also, the more pictures you include in your auction, the easier they'll sell. There's also Craigslist. I've actually seen quite a few Beatle albums for sale on Craigslist and the good part is that it's totally free of charge. The only problem, is that you're dealing with either having to have a stranger come to your house to buy them or possibly meeting them at a convenient exchange location. Another possibility is selling them via Goldmine magazine, but if you're only dealing with a handful of LP's that you're selling, it's not really worth the ad price. Good luck, and thanks for the question!
