Question
I believe that I have an original 1st pressing mono copy of The Beatles lp Revolver because it does have the "needle damage warning on the back cover. An I correct? Also,I am missing the original inner capitol sleeve. What color sleeve came with 1st pressings?

Answer
Hi Robert!

If your copy of "Revolver" has the warning "THIS STEREO RECORD SHOULD BE PLAYED ONLY WITH A STEREO CARTRIDGE AND NEEDLE TO AVOID DAMAGE", then you actually do have a first pressing, but it would be a stereo pressing, not mono. That was the reason for the warning. The needles made to play stereo recordings were much different than the old stylus. It should also have had a plain white inner sleeve, "uncut", meaning no hole in the centre. If there's anything else I can help you with, don't hesitate to ask and thanks for the question!

Peace,
