Question
This is in regards to a former question.  The album was manufactured by Capitol Records USA.  It is a stereo.  All the inserts are included.  The condtition of the ablum is fair to good.  The year the ablum was released is 1967.  There is little tearing of the cover/insert.  The innser sleeve is red and pink.  It is on Capitol label.  The patton number is 2,631,859.  All lyrics copyright in 1967 for the World by Northern Songs Ltd. England  On the back cover top right it has SMAS2653  On the right bottom in a box on the left side it has Capitol Records and right next to it it has EMI and underneath that it has The Greatest Recording Organization in the World.  On the ablum itself it has SMAS-2653 and underneath it it has SMAS-X-I-2653  From this information is it possible to tell how much it is worth?  Any information you can give me will be appreciated.

Answer
Hi again Larry!

Thank you so much for giving me the info that I need. In "fair to good" condition, your Sgt Pepper LP is valued at approximately $30-35. If it were mint, you could get about $65, but I have to assume that it has some basic wear and tear, which does bring the value down somewhat. Even in poor condition, I've seen this album sell for over $20. The good news is, that providing it stays in it's current condition, it will continue increasing in value. Now, there are some variations on the Capitol label itself that can adjust the price. If it's black with a rainbow around the outside of the label, you'll get more (about $10) than if it's the green, orange or purple Capitol labels, which are later releases. I hope this has answered your question. Thanks for getting me the information...

Peace,
Pattie
