Beatles, The/First Album

Question
QUESTION: What would a "Meet the Beatles"! First Album on mono tape go for?

ANSWER: Hi Denise!

When you say "mono tape", you must be referring to reel-to-reel tapes, correct? You haven't told me the condition of yours, but if it's in mint condition, the value of "Meet The Beatles" on mono reels with the original box is at about $200.00. Thanks for the question!

QUESTION: Thanks Pattie,
It is a reel-to-reel. It is in the original box. A little Dog eared on one corner. The tape appears to be ok. My question is where and whom can I sell this item to?

Answer
Hi again, Denise!

Well, there are a few ways you can go. You can contact a collectible records shop in your area (if you have one). They may certainly buy it to re-sell it, but they'll undercut you for sure. They're in the business of making money so they'd probably only give you a fraction of it's actual worth. You can try selling it on Craigslist. It's totally free and you keep 100% of the profits. I've seen lots of Beatles collectibles on there. Other than that, your best bet is eBay. Now...they've recently increased their percentage, I believe they now take 10% of the final sale price (which I think is quite high), but with them, you can always raise your price by 10% to offset that. Make sure you don't overcharge for shipping and post some really good pictures. That should make it easy to sell. You don't see a lot of Beatles reel-to-reel tapes, so selling it via eBay should be no problem at all. I hope this helped and thanks again for the question!

Peace,
