Question
hi there. i've got 3 beatle albums and i'm wondering what they're worth. the records are in good shape while the album cover on one of them isn't so great. Help! soundtrack, Hard Day's Night soundtrack and Beatles '65. All of the covers are a bit worn too. Any ideas or leads on value and where i might sell them if i'm interested in doing so. thank you! jodi

Answer
Hi Jodi!

Well, even in rough condition, you could get at least $10-$15 each for those titles (I'm assuming your Help! and Hard Day's Night LP's are also US issue). Record grading is done by looking at exactly how worn something is. In order to give you a better estimate, I'd need a lot more information (which issue, exact amount of wear for the discs, labels, covers etc), but based on what you've given me, that's about as close as I can get. As far as where to sell them, you can go several ways. You can go to a local shop that deals in used records, keeping in mind that they won't give you even a fraction of what they're worth. You can sell them via eBay, but they'll also take a percentage as well as other fees. You can also sell them via Craigslist, which is totally free, but you'll have to take your chances about meeting up with strangers to sell them. Sorry I couldn't give you more information.
