Beatles, The/Beatles White Album on white vinyl - Capitol

Question
Hi there!  I recently found a copy of The Beatles on white vinyl on Capitol (11841).  Condition:  cover- good.  Vinyl - very good.  Vinyl plays well (great pressing, by the way), but has some pops in some areas.  The vinyl might be very good +.  Since the cover is stained and worn (no rips or splits, but significant wear) and the pictures and poster are missing I figure this is maybe a $20 or $25 item.  Is that accurate?  I have seen really nice examples of this record go for $150 with all the pictures and poster, but with the condition issues I have my guess is mine is far less valuable.

Great site!  Thanks!

Answer
Hi Tim!

First of all, that's a great LP set to have. I really love coloured vinyl! That particular set, in perfect condition with all the inserts is roughly about $100-$150 depending on who's selling it. I'd say if your vinyl is in good shape, with no inserts and a rough cover, you're looking at about $15-$20. Hard to tell for sure without seeing it, but if I saw what you're describing in a store for sale, I personally wouldn't pay more than $15. Now, currently, we're seeing a huge resurgence in "Beatlemania" due to all the new Beatles products that will be released in both August and September, so you'll see prices on things like this skyrocket. I think some of the asking prices are beyond ridiculous, but that's just me LOL. I guess the point I'm trying to make is if you plan to sell it, this would be the time to do it. I hope this has helped. Thanks for the question!

Peace,
Pattie
