Question
How many different "legit" picture disc albums were released?
I see on E-bay there are several I wasn't aware of.
Which are the most valuable?
I have 2 Abbey Road and 1 Sgt. Pepper

Answer
Hi Tim!

Good question. There are probably bootleg picture discs of just about all the Beatles LP's, but the "official" releases are Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road, and great 7" picture discs of "Love Me Do" and "Hollywood Bowl". There are several not put out by Apple or Capitol that are considered "legitimate", such as "Beatles Talk With Jerry" from 1982, one called "Like Dreamers Do", which is a 3 disc set, 2 of which are picture discs also from 1982 (both are put out by the "Backstage" label) and "Timeless" from 1981. Some common bootleg picture discs are the "Yesterday and Today" with the "butcher" picture as well as bootlegs of "The Silver Beatles" and "Introducing The Beatles". You have, however, the two that are thought of as the official ones. As far as value, it really depends on their condition, but if they're both mint, the "Abbey Road" would be worth a little more than the Pepper. There just aren't as many of them out there. Hope this helped!
