I am from Australia. In 1978 when Grease the movie first played here in cinemas, thre was a movie on before the main feature and it was about a group of young Beatles fans trying to either sneak into the Beatles hotel or just to meet the band. From memory it was in black and white and I am almost 100% sure that the band themsleves never actually appear in the film. One scene I do kinda remember is of one of the youngsters being inside a hotel room under a bed and one of the Beatles sits on the bed and the viewer can see the Beatles feet, wearing classic Beatles boots from memory. Anyway, if you have any idea what this film maybe called I would truly and greatly appreciate it as I would love to somehow find a copy. Thanks in advance.

Sounds a lot like the movie "I Wanna Hold Your Hand," which came out in 1978.

It's not in black and white, though.  But it's similar to what I remember of the plot, and it came out in the same year you mentioned.
