Question
Hi Elizabeth, I own The Beatles love songs album. I have search all over the wb to find information on this album and haven't found much. I have found however that the album was never made into a cd and was deleted in 1980. I would like to know a little more information on the this album, and if possible help me out by telling me where I might be able to obtain the value of this album. It is in near mint condition, It has a twenty-two page booklet containing the lyrics to the songs and two records inside the brown cover that opens like a book.

I assume you're talking about this:

There's a reason that it's never been released.  It's one of several Beatles compilations released in the 70s that the Beatles did not authorize nor approve of.  Not only did they object to the order the songs were put in, they HATED the covers of the albums, especially the "Rock and Roll Music" album.  (If you've never seen that, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_'n'_Roll_Music_(album))  John Lennon even offered to draw an album cover himself, and was actually turned down!

Now that the Beatles have full control over the tracks, they've been very careful over what gets released.  These albums will likely never see the light of day again.

As to what they're worth, I specifically said in my questioner instructions that I don't price anything, but it's not going for more than $40 on Ebay:

I am a HUGE fan who happened to soak up lots and lots of trivia on her way through Beatle land (I`ve been told I have Beatle radar), so I`m able to answer a question about almost anything!

I'm a professional music teacher, mainly in vocal music. My particular specialty would be questions on the music theory of the Beatles songs, or ending "who sang what" debates.
