Beatles, The/Which country had the best quality CD pressings back in 1988 ?

QuestionA friend of mine has upgraded to the Beayles Remasters CDs which came out last year, and although I have also, he is selling me some of his original 1988 pressings.
I am very interested in his England/ UK pressings, he also had some from West Germany, Holland, Italy, Australia and the USA .
Apart from the UK, which of these other counties are known for good ( or bad) quality Bealrs releaes of Please Please Me though to Abbey Road and Let it Be, and also Paster Masters vols. 1 and 2 ?
I did read once that apart from the East of Europe, many boots and countefeits come from Italy and Holland, so is it better to steer clear of those ?
Thanks.
AnswerI am assuming that these are CDs which would have been 1987 pressings. Quite honestly, there is no real difference in the quality of the CD pressing or sound quality for any of those release with the exception of a "Black Triangle" Abbey Road Japan issue from 1987 which has superior sound quality to the American EMI release.
The original CDs are not very collectible and since the remaster issues, they are more widely regarded for their lack of packaging quality and sound reproduction.
Perhaps not the news you wanted to hear, but something good to know in your price negotiations.
