Question
I have a Beatles Album entitled HELP!  It seems to be a soundtrack.  The album is in very good condition with the record still in the original plastic packaging.  Would you have any idea what this is worth?  I cant seem to find much on values.  It also states New improved full dimensional stereo along the top.  Thanks

Matt

Answer
You seem to have the LP of the US version of the Help! album.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help!_%28album%29#North_American_release

The UK version had extra songs on it and a slightly different cover, while the US version had only the songs in the movie and part of the movie's score.

This album was only released in North America, and sold five million copies in the 60s.  So that doesn't make this rare.

BUT, it was still sought after because when the Beatles albums came out on CD in 1987, they only released the UK versions of the albums.

BUT, the US versions of the albums were released on CD in 2006, so that changed that.

Why can't you find much on values?  Because it was a five times platinum selling album that was re-released on CD only five years ago.  Unless it's got something like a misprint on it, you can get that album for a few dollars in a used record store.

Sorry to disappoint.

I'm a professional music teacher, mainly in vocal music. My particular specialty would be questions on the music theory of the Beatles songs, or ending "who sang what" debates.
