Beatles, The/Beatles white album

Question
Hi Chalk, I bought my copy of the white album from either a local music shop
or Woolworth's between 72-75 in Glasgow Scotland, its only recently I've checked
the actual records, the cover itself, is a top loader, embossed, number 0020244.

when I recently checked the records i found the the first record was PCS 7067,
made in France, Mfd in UK. The second record is PMC 7068 MFD IN UK, with "sold
in the UK to resale price conditions" printed at the top of the apple logo, on
the first record, Ringo and George songs are credited to Harrisongs & Startling
M, the second record credits George songs to Apple publishing, I bought the
white album brand new at the time and can only assume this was a mistake when
the album was packaged as the second record looks as if its a first press, while
the first is maybe a second press, i'm a bit confused with it considering the
cover is an original embossed one, i would be grateful if you could give me any
information (if any) on this?

regards

Robert

Answer
First of all, apologies for the delay in replying, Robert.

What a strange set of circumstances! I'm not actually an expert in this field - more so regarding their music itself - so I'd recommend that you ask another expert on this.

I don't even know how to recommend you to do an initial search on this - if I can't help with a question, I normally do a search to get the questioner started. But this has got me beat! I'm very sorry and wish you Good Luck in your search for answers.

Regards,

Chalk.

Experience

There was something in Paul's voice when he sang the phrase "Love Me Do" at the end of the verses that told me everything in Pop was going to change, and it did! I left my first band (which I had founded), partly because the other members thought I was a bit weird to want to change our style to reflect that of the Beatles! As a rock musician, I appeared with them in the ABC Theatre in Blackpool, England in 1963, and my songwriting has always been influenced by theirs.
