Beatles, The/How many Beatles RIAA awards exist?

Question
Hello:

Thanks for reading this.
I understand that several gold records exist for each Beatles album and
certified "gold" single. But in practice, how many official RIAA gold
records were created for each album (i.e., Revolver, Sgt. Pepper) and
single (i.e., Please Please Me)? I assume one award was given to each
band member, one (or more?) was given to "The Beatles," and other
assorted individuals and companies got awards as well. So does that
mean each album earned 5 individual gold records? 10? 30?

I appreciate your help.

Best Regards,
Andg

Answer
Hi, Andy,

I've done a bit of research for you: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=Beatles+RIAA+awards&btnG=Google+Search&me... - plenty to look at there!

Basically, you can go on the RIAA site and search their database: http://www.riaa.com/goldandplatinum.php

Personally, I don't know much about RIAA awards, but the Net can help you a lot here!

Hope this helps,

Chalk.

There was something in Paul's voice when he sang the phrase "Love Me Do" at the end of the verses that told me everything in Pop was going to change, and it did! I left my first band (which I had founded), partly because the other members thought I was a bit weird to want to change our style to reflect that of the Beatles! As a rock musician, I appeared with them in the ABC Theatre in Blackpool, England in 1963, and my songwriting has always been influenced by theirs.
