Beatles, The/Beetles Collection
Expert: Steve - 2/26/2007
QuestionHi Steve,
My Stepfather has given me The Beetles Collection boxset, the box is blue with gold writing it contains, the Beatles singles on 45's from 1962-1970, the sleeves of the disks are green and have pictures of the band on all of them.
I was wondering if it was worth anything, not that I would sell it though.
Thanks for your help, in advance
Answer Hi James
I am presuming the green box-set you have may be rarer than the normal blue box-set, because I had noticed that E-Bay auctions off many more blue box-sets. However, the green box-set that is being auctioned off presently isn't priced particularly expensive (although that item wasn't in 'mint' condition).
As you say, you aren't planning on selling them, so I'm not worried to you as I tell you that your Capitol box-set most likely isn't too-too expensive. I do know Capitol exploited the Beatles, and 'butchered' their album compilations they had originally made on Parlaphone.
I hope you enjoy your stepfathers gift for generations!
Take care
Steve
