AboutSteve Expertise I can answer mostly anything concerning The Beatles. I`ve read many of the stories, and can give you a tidbit or two on virtually every song they produced.
Experience Many years of reading books on them, much bootlg material I have purchased and/or received from them, and a pure enjoyment of learning about them.
Question QUESTION: Hi Steve, In the bar that we were renting out I found a proffesionally framed Meet the Beatles First Album cover and gold lp very nicely displayed in a shadow box like frame. Inside the frame there is also a smaller gold record of "I want to hold your hand". Also, on the upper left corner there is a plaque that says: This special edition gold plated record presented in recognition of the prestigious achievement in reaching million seller award status". Below that there is another plaque looking like a seal that says 24 KT gold plated record.
Can you tell me if this is original or if you are aware of any reproductions of this particular display? The people who left this in the bar left us with lots and lots of debts and if this is worth anything I would like to sell it. Any idea as to what it is worth?
I would apreciate any info on this frame.
Regards and many thanks for taking the time.
Char.
ANSWER: Hiya Char
I did know that certain plaques were printed as if they were originals, but were indeed copies.
HOWEVER, I would certainly take this item to a couple record stores! Get more definitive answers from people holding the cover! I wish the owners receive a happy surprise.
Take care, and best of luck
Steve

QUESTION: Hi again Steve and thanks a lot for your answer. If I sent you a picture do you think you can tell me if this is original?
Thanks,
Char.
Answer Hiya Char,
I'm sorry, I am not a true collector of the items. Like I've mentioned to some people in the past, go to a few places with the cover (don't let the people at those places know you've been 'shopping' around). Find out what each place says on it. I would gather the worse-case scenarios could be it is not an original, yet you might get an avid Beatles fan who would exchange the item for a little more money than what the others would say. If you look hard enough, I am sure you'll find a Beatles lover who'd pay for it.
Find out when a Beatles convention will be in your area. Maybe you can check there as well.
Again, good luck Char!
Steve
