Beatles, The/Revolution

Question
On the anthology DVD's the Beatles show a video of John's Revolution.  Paul & George sing the "shoo-bee doo wop" in the background.  However, in the actual single released, the "doo-wop" is missing.  Why is that?

Answer
Hi Tony, and thanks for your question.

I think that the video verson on the "Anthology" is a combination of the album version and the single version. The album version of "Revolution" that appears on the White Album does indeed feature Paul and George singing the "shoo-bee doo wop" in the background, while the harder single version doesn't. I'm sure the video version was the boys just experimenting and trying different things.

Well, I hope I answered your question, and thanks again.

Long live the Beatles,
Matt

Expertise

I have a somewhat elaborate knowledge of the band`s music and history, from their Hamburg beginnings to their demise in 1970, as well as secondary information from the post-Beatle years.

Experience

I can answer most questions about the Beatles themselves and their albums, as well as some information about the post-Beatle years. I do NOT, however, specialize in concert dates or Beatle memoribilia (i.e. special collector's items, etc.).
