Question
Hi. After having recently assembled a great turntable setup, I am building up my collection of vinyl. But there are so many labels, etc! Which of the Rubber Soul recordings is the best to listen to: mono vs stereo? Parlophone or Capital?  Thanks, Todd

Answer
It's really a matter of opinion.  First, as far as I know, Rubber Soul wasn't released in stereo on vinyl, but don't quote me on it.

The big difference between the Parlophone and Capitol versions is the track listings.  So if you prefer I've Just Seen a Face over Drive My Car, go with Capitol.  But if you'd like to listen to Drive My Car, Nowhere Man, What Goes On, and If I Needed Someone, go for Parlophone, as those are missing from the Capitol pressing.

Expertise

I am a HUGE fan who happened to soak up lots and lots of trivia on her way through Beatle land (I`ve been told I have Beatle radar), so I`m able to answer a question about almost anything!

Experience

I'm a professional music teacher, mainly in vocal music. My particular specialty would be questions on the music theory of the Beatles songs, or ending "who sang what" debates.
