Beatles, The/Sgt. Pepper Picture

Question
Hi, I recently saw a piucture of the Sgt. Pepper sessions and I wanted to know what possible songs they could've been rehearsing in the picture. John and Paul are both sitting at two pianos, and it looks as if the closest mic is towards John. George is playting an acoustic guitar and Ringo is standing at a set of congas. The only song I could think of is A Day In The Life, but I don't see why both John and Paul are siting at a piano. Do you have any ideas of what this song could be? Thanks.

Answer
To answer this effectively I'd have to listen to the whole album with the picture in front of me, and even then it'd only be pure guesswork. I mean, they could have been simply *trying* something with 2 piano tracks - who knows?

Sorry I can't be more precise, Mark, but this really is a guesswork-type question. You could try the other Experts, but I think you may get the same kind of answer... Good Luck anyway.

Chalk.

Experience

There was something in Paul's voice when he sang the phrase "Love Me Do" at the end of the verses that told me everything in Pop was going to change, and it did! I left my first band (which I had founded), partly because the other members thought I was a bit weird to want to change our style to reflect that of the Beatles! As a rock musician, I appeared with them in the ABC Theatre in Blackpool, England in 1963, and my songwriting has always been influenced by theirs.
