Beatles, The/Tribute Song To John??

Question
I downloaded a song from "limewire" some time ago, entitled..  "Beatles -rare- Oasis& Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison - Woman -(Tribute To John Lennon)"

it's a very "trippy", psychedelic song. you can hear the three remaining beatles singing, and at one point, sounds like either George or Paul singing a solo. after the second line in to the second verse, the song suddenly stops. i have tried downloading all the differnt files i could find, and thats as far as it gets. ??.  I have tried researching this song, but i can't find anything about it at all.

Do you know anyting about this song, or have you ever even heard of it? Do you know anything about tributes the the Beatles did after John died?

if it would help, i could type up the lyrics.. or send the song to you through a personal email address...?

Thanks,
Tommy

Answer
Hey Tommy,

Thanks for sending me the MP3.

I don't think it's the Beatles at all, but a good imitation of Oasis (with Beatles influences), or even one of the Oasis songs. I don't know their music too well, so can't judge...

Thanks again for sending it - it was interesting to hear it.

Regards,

Chalk.

Answer: Hello, Tommy,

Back in the old Napster days, being also an Elvis fan, I downloaded stuff called e.g. "Elvis, Jerry Lee - unpublished demo recording", stuff like that, only to find out when I listened it that was just someone imitating or playing around in his 'garage'.

Oasis + Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr & George Harrison never recorded together as far as I know...

I can't give my personal e-mail address out here for spam reasons, but you can use this temporary one to send me the MP3 - I'd be interested to hear it! (E-mail address deleted by Chalk).

Regards,

Chalk.

Experience

There was something in Paul's voice when he sang the phrase "Love Me Do" at the end of the verses that told me everything in Pop was going to change, and it did! I left my first band (which I had founded), partly because the other members thought I was a bit weird to want to change our style to reflect that of the Beatles! As a rock musician, I appeared with them in the ABC Theatre in Blackpool, England in 1963, and my songwriting has always been influenced by theirs.
