Beatles, The/beatles heights

Question
Oftentimes John Paul and George appear to be the same height and at times John seems almost an inch or two smaller (poor posture?).
I know it's said they were 5'11" but is that accurate? Thanks.

Answer
I was just looking at the book "The Beatles: A Day-to-Day Diary" by Barry Miles.  It's a great book, and chock full of photos of the Beatles from several angles.  To me, John, Paul and George seem to be around the same height, and I've always heard that height to be 5'11".  If there is a different in their heights, it's minimal.

John might appear to be shorter because of the way he stood when the Beatles performed.  While Paul and George balanced their weight on one leg, using the other to tap the beat, John had his weight equally balanced, bouncing the beat with his knees.  So a photo might have got him at a point where his knees were bent, and therefore the top of his head was below the others'.

Hope this helps.  Thanks for taking your time to ask me a question!
