QuestionHello. I am Yuta, Japanese college student.
I really like The Beatles, so I want to talk about them in my college music class. I know about them a little bit, but I want to have more great Idea. Therefore, could you tell me about The Beatles music style?
I want to know How has their style changed from the biginnings to the end of their careers. and which their song shows the differences and how?
Please teach me something about them great.
Thanks. Yuta
AnswerHello, Yuta, and thanks for your question.
While your question certainly is a broad one, it can be answered simply enough. In my mind, the beauty of the Beatles is their simplicity. There's nothing really complex about most of their music; it is simply pop music, brilliantly written and performed. Even their earlier hits like "She Loves You" or "A Hard Day's Night" contain an energy that is absent in most other groups of the time. Granted, the songs are simple, but they're catchy as hell and fun to listen to.
The Beatles never really wrote songs with an agenda (i.e. social or political commentary, although "Revolution" is an exception). The Beatles' later albums are still pop albums, but the songwriting and production is unparalleled and definitely more evolved than their earlier work. My favorite album is probably Abbey Road. The production is gorgeous, especially on the second half. If you would really like to hear the difference, listen to an earlier album like A Hard Day's Night and then Abbey Road. The quality is the same, but but craftsmenship and songwriting is far superior.
I hope I answered your question. Long live the Beatles!
