Beatles, The/impact on society

Question
I am doing a report on the song Revolution. I m supposed to say how the song Revolution impacted society and how it effected the general public. I will continue searching the web but if you could help that would be great.  Thanks

Answer
If you want my opinion, the song itself did very little to change the world.  Especially since when you compare the versions, one says "count me out" and one says "count me out - in!"

But if you're referring to "Revolution" and not "Revolution 1," I think it basically meant what John Lennon was trying to say all along - we can change the world, but violence and hate aren't the way to do it.  Do it peacefully, and everything's gonna be all right.

I hope this helps.  Thank you for taking your time to ask me a question.

Expertise

I am a HUGE fan who happened to soak up lots and lots of trivia on her way through Beatle land (I`ve been told I have Beatle radar), so I`m able to answer a question about almost anything!

Experience

I'm a professional music teacher, mainly in vocal music. My particular specialty would be questions on the music theory of the Beatles songs, or ending "who sang what" debates.
