hi, i was just wandering in what year did the beatles form? (that's all four of them: jhon, ringo, paul and ringo)

Ringo was the last to join the band on Aug. 16, 1962. He had played for a band called Rory Storm and the Hurricanes for a couple years prior. Prior to Aug. 16, The Beatles played with a various drummers, but their predominant drummer was Pete Best. However, when the Beatles auditioned for George Martin, he didn't feel that Best was particularly strong. Martin was going to replace Best on the audiotape with a session drummer named Alan White. However, the three Beatles didn't feel too pleased with Best as well, and they then called up their friend Ringo (who had in fact played with them on a few occasions when Best hadn't appeared) to join the band for good. They gave the hatchet-job of telling Best he was canned to their manager, Brian Epstein.
