Beatles, The/Who plays what?

Question
Hello, this question is one of many.  So here is one and some other time there will be more.  Who plays lead guitar, the guitar solo, on Let It Be on the Let It Be album?  I LOVE these fellas and I am most motivated by Paul.  I am wondering if it might be George that plays during this wonderful solo.  Please inform what you may or may not know.  Thank You...PS, I amware that Paul is not the guitar player on these albums, in case you thought I may be ignorant.

Answer
Hello, Sammi, and thanks for your question.

Luckily for you, I seem to remember seeing the boys play this song on the 'Beatles Anthology' documentary. Paul was on the piano, and George, as usual, as playing the lead guitar solo. It's a fair question though, as there are a few songs in which the boys play different instruments than their own. I believe it was Paul that played the searing guitar solo on George's "Taxman" from the Revolver album, and John and Paul played ALL the instruments on the single "The Ballad of John and Yoko". Well I hope I answered your question. If you have any follow-ups, feel free to ask. Thanks again, and long live the Beatles!

Expertise

I have a somewhat elaborate knowledge of the band`s music and history, from their Hamburg beginnings to their demise in 1970, as well as secondary information from the post-Beatle years.

Experience

I can answer most questions about the Beatles themselves and their albums, as well as some information about the post-Beatle years. I do NOT, however, specialize in concert dates or Beatle memoribilia (i.e. special collector's items, etc.).
