Beatles, The/sleeve

Question
Hi there. There´s a US single release I Want To Hold Your Hand/I Saw Her Standing There on Capitol 5112.
On the sleeve Paul is holding a cigarette. I´ve heard that the sleeve was changed later because of that. Do you happens to know anything about it?
Thanks Bjorn

Answer
I haven't heard anything about the sleeve cover being changed due to that cigarette.  What you're possibly thinking of is a painting of the Beatles that 50s singer Pat Boone had made for his daughters.  The portrait had been based on a photo in which the Beatles had cigarettes in their hands, and Pat made the painter take them out.

I hope this helps.  Thanks for taking your time to ask me a question!

Expertise

I am a HUGE fan who happened to soak up lots and lots of trivia on her way through Beatle land (I`ve been told I have Beatle radar), so I`m able to answer a question about almost anything!

Experience

I'm a professional music teacher, mainly in vocal music. My particular specialty would be questions on the music theory of the Beatles songs, or ending "who sang what" debates.
