QUESTION: Hi do not know what # you are referring to on the record, here are the #'s that appear on the apple label green apple side they are swbd1-1011,then on side 2 its swbo101 with swbo2-101 also states recorded in England most every song is recorded by lennon & mc cartney, with the exception of another record mentioning george harrison. hope that helps, i thought this record would be worth much more than stated its over 45 yrs old. sincerely marie okeefe p.s i have another record all in red from the 60tys also can you tell me about that one?
ANSWER: This sounds like a USA 1st Pressing White Album but simply known as THE BEATLES from 1968 . The first few hundred thousands were numbered and possibly with prefix A . Number should look like this:-
A 0354414
The USA Pressings are not as valuable as the UK pressings and were only produced in Stereo in the USA .They inclued a poster an 4 photos as well as dividers for the photos . Possible value from $50 depending on condition and if all extras are included .
Te Red vinyl record sounds like the re-issue of Beatles 1962-66 from around 1978 , worht anything from $30 plus . Hope that helps ...Mike

QUESTION: mike also the Red album on side one has pcs7171 then (yex905) with under it (P) 1962*(p) 1963 The Gramaphone company limited. with mfg in the uk outside album coverwith 4 beatles looking off a balcony, inside cover looks like they may be abunch of people who were related to the beatles , like family & friends behind a wrought iorn fence, what do you think?? sincerely marie
AnswerMarie , This is the 1962-66 Album , a 2 LP set from 1973 . It was reissued in the late 70s on red vinyl .
The photograph on the front cover was taken in 1963 at the EMI Manchester Square office in London as part of the Please Please Me photo shot . The same photo taken 6 years later , around April 1969 , was scheduled for the shelved Get Back album . The inner photo shows all 4 beatles with an un-related group of people taken at St Pancras Old Church in London in the Summer of 1968 . The site still exists but the fence has gone .
