im really sorry for taking so long to respond.  becks full *original* name is bek david campbell.  the full name he prefers to go by now is beck hansen.  hansen is the last name of his mother, which beck adopted after his father became estranged from the rest of the family.  the phenomenon of his being called simply beck is just a sort of promotional thing that started in his early, small club-playing days.  the c got added to beck by various people, like teachers, over the span of his life.  there ya go.  hope it helped and didnt turn out to be too later for your purposes.  sorry again
