Question
Hi - I have an area of my wall that is sticky - looks like wax or something
could be seeping and dripping from "somewhere" - this area is just beside my
fireplace (which we do not use at all) - AND, the carpet about 1 foot from the
fireplace has a large sticky/tacky area... could this be a bee problem? I guess I
really want to know how to know if bees live in our walls... suggestions?

Answer
Michelle,

Check on the outside of the house, look for any bee activity around the chimney where it meets the roof line. If you still don't know what's causing this call a local bee company or have your pest control provider look at this situation.

Has it been very hot this past week possibly 90 degrees or higher?  When it gets very hot we get calls from people complaining about dripping honey. Have you had bees before? How long have you lived at that house? Do you know the history? Hope this information helps, feel free to reply.
