Question Hi John,
I live on a farm in Mt Sterling OH. We have hundreds maybe 1,000 of bees in between the walls of our outside wooden buildings. We have tried numerous times to kill them but they come back. One year my husband and I took all the wood planks down and we sprayed the hive, and tore it down as we went. But they still came back. My grandson plays outside and is allergic to them, what can we do? I was hoping someone nearby might want them but can not locate anyone.
Answer Hi Joyce,
Once all of the bees and honey comb are removed the area where the bees were needs to be treated and the smell needs to be suppressed. Most people only have bees about once every 20 years, so most people have no idea what to do once the bees have moved in. Also once they move in and the honey's not removed properly the bees generally come back every year.
I've got this number from a beekeeper in Ohio, you can try giving a call to see if he can help you out in that area, the number is 513-535-7804 and his name is Mark Moody. There is also a company called Critter Control, I don't now what their fees are (614) 291-4400. I hope this helps out.
