Question
Is it better to drink a bottled beer in the bottle or poured into a glass so it can breathe?
Always from a glass, for many reasons.
The most important is that you can't really get any aroma from the bottle, whereas a glass lets you actually smell the beer. Since taste is about 75% smell, this has a huge impact on the flavor you perceive.
It also reduces the carbonation level a little, so you don't have as much gas dissolved in the beer. That not only makes it more drinkable, but also saves you from most of the belching that marks the bottle drinker.
