Question
how much sugar is in a can of beer. is there less sugar in lite beer

Answer
The short answer is that no, beer does not contain sugar.  In fact, that's what yeast does... it converts the sugars into alcohol and carbon dioxide.

The longer answer is that while there are no sugars in beer (regular or light), there are carbohydrates left in beer after it's done with fermentation.  In this case light beers do have fewer carbohydrates than their regular counterparts.

I hope this helps.
