Question
What is the equivalent in malt to one cup of corn sugar when brewing up a 5 gallon batch? Thank you for your help.

Sorry for taking so long to answer but I was hospitalized and had no access.

TO answer your question you can basically count use one cup of dry malt to equal one cup of corn sugar.  There is a big long calculation that will give you the exact amount but it will end up with just about the same by weigh.

I would not exchange large amounts of sugar for malt.  IF you do you may end up with a cider taste but in small amount your fine.  In fact I use brown sugar and dry malt to bottle with depending on the style.
